Listen/Download: Interpol Singer Paul Banks Releases New Song ‘The Base’
Announced over on Interpol’s forum this afternoon, someone from Matador Records made a post that tomorrow (Monday 6th) they’ll be officially releasing a new track from Interpol singer Paul Banks called “The Base”.
Though you can get the track right now for free below, they also mentioned that along with the track tomorrow will come with a proper announcement, presumably detailing his new album, which would be his first since his solo debut EP Julian Plenti Is… Skyscraperback in 2009.
As we await the good word tomorrow we can just spend the rest of our nights with “The Base”; solid, heavy, and crunching at its loudest, with hints of Interpol but hints of not-Interpol too. How’s that for writing skillz?
