Video: Twigs - Ache
Twigs is rapidly rising to the top of my list of overwhelmingly intriguing artists - partly, yes, because I know pretty much nothing about them*, but mainly because their music kicks ass. Their latest track and accompanying video, “Ache”, appeared online yesterday, and it’s every bit as mesmerising as the one for “Hide”. Slightly less nuddy, admittedly, but no worse for it.
* I’m not even 100% sure about who and how many are involved. There’s at least one lady, judging from the vocals. You have reached the limits of my knowledge.
The real moral I took away from it is that if you’re a lamp, you might want to steer clear of crazy dudes who are sartorially-indebted to Bane. That, and that Twigs are really good. I ache ache ache for more.
