Video: Trails And Ways - Mtn Tune
I was first introduced to Trails and Ways earlier this year when I stumbled on their amazing, bilingual, cover of “Miracle” by Ghost Beach. They transformed one of my favorite summertime, synth jams into a tropical, bongo infused, beat. They use the same treatment with other covers like “Animal” by Miike Snow and M83’s “Midnight City.” However, It’s their original music that had me yearning for more. This year they have released 3 other singles but have yet to make, or even announce, a full album release. Are they plotting some super secret surprise or still hung-over from Carnival?
This week they put out a video for their latest single, “Mtn Tune,” which is a beautiful song about mountains. Who doesn’t love mountains? I sure do. They love them so much they wrote a song about them, climbed one, and then put on a nice little show for all the little creatures near by. What a nature friendly band. And that’s pretty much what this video is all about. It’s not mind blowing but it captures the essence of the song nicely and promotes a mountain saving organization at the end. Goooo Planet!
