In anticipation of their first album in five years, The Shins have got a bumper few months ahead of them, with two new videos (one for “Simple Song” and a 3D stop-motion video for this track), as well as tours, festival appearances, radio show get-togethers, the album release itself, and presumably late night TV slots too.
This new track “The Rifle’s Spiral” has actually been a song in The Shins’ live sets dating back to 2009 and is now included on their new album “Port Of Morrow”, but check out a radio rip below and let us know what you think in the comments.
Listen to The Shins new song “September” below, the b-side from their “Simple Song” single.
As we mentioned at the start of January, The Shins are back with a new album “Port Of Morrow”, their first in five years.
The first single from that album is “Simple Song”, a return to the form of 2005, but there’s also a new song on its flipside called “September”. In collaboration with Record Store Day they’ve made this gorgeous little video for “September”, which you can get next week on 7” vinyl.
“Port Of Morrow” is out in March and we’ll have an official video for “The Rifle’s Spiral” in the next few weeks too.
